Hearing On Expanded Massachusetts Gaming

A hearing on casino gambling proposals for the joint committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies took place yesterday at the state house in Boston, Massachusetts, where proponents of expanding gaming in the state voiced their positions

According to a report on milforddailynews.com, Housing and Economic Development secretary Greg Bialecki said the state has "an excellent chance" to recapture most of the millions leaving Massachusetts and being spent out-of-state if it acts to allow resort casinos in Massachusetts.

"Massachusetts should seek what others have successfully achieved," Bialecki said: First-class casinos "we can all be proud of."
