Keep Talking Tops Fourth Session

Keep Talking topped the fourth session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale with a six-figure bid on Friday night at the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion.

Keep Talking, Hip 435 from the Cameo Hills Farm consignment, was purchased for $100,000 by Rene Allard. The colt is sired by Well Said and is out of the Ameripan Gigolo mare Dial Romance, who is half-sister to the Little Brown Jug runner-up Im Gorgeous.

Glorious Delight, Hip 465, garnered a final bid of $80,000 from Brian Brown. Consigned by agent Preferred Equine Inc., the grey Bettors Delight filly is the first foal out of the Rocknroll Hanover mare Rock For Glory ($137,460 - 1:52.2).

Royal Brady, Hip 450, rounded out the top three highest priced yearlings of the fourth session with a $70,000 price tag. Consigned by Crawford Farms and purchased by agent Linda Toscano, the Rc Royalty colt is out of the Angus Hall mare Barcelona Baby. His second dam is Armbro Flight champion Malabar Mist ($393,711 - 1:53.2).

A total of 134 yearlings passed through the sales ring during the Friday night session, selling for $2,742,000 and producing an average of nearly $20,463. Last year's average price for the fourth session was $21,423.

The fifth and final session of sale begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday night featuring Hips 573 - 672.
