Lucky Man drilled his seven Saturday night rivals, wiring Yonkers Raceway's $40,000 Open Handicap Pace in dominating fashion

.

With Cat Manzi driving for trainer Casie Coleman, Lucky Man was in play early from post position No. 3. He worked around pole-sitting Pandoras Sox (Billy Dobson) before a spiffy :27-second opening quarter-mile, then just kept rolling.

Lucky Bettor (Yannick Gingras) as the 13-10 choice, grabbed a early four-hole. He was on the move again before a :55.4 intermission, but "Lucky" the leader was giving the "Lucky" the pursuer no shot.

Lucky Man found a 1:23.4 three-quarters, taking a length-and-a-half lead into the lane. He won by three lengths in 1:52.2. Jeremys Successor (Jordan Stratton), last early from the eight-hole (seventh turning for home), snapped second over Lucky Bettor, with Psilvuheartbreaker (Jim Meittinis) and Runover Feeling (Jason Bartlett) completing the cashers.

For Lucky Man, a four-year-old Camluck gelding owned by Thomas Hill, he paid $5.10 (second choice) for his fifth victory in 20 seasonal starts. The exacta paid $83, the triple returned $191 and the superfecta paid $575.
