There was lots of chatter about You Talk Too Much on Friday night (October 27) after the two-year-old pacing filly set a new divisional track record at Northlands Park.
Trained, driven and co-owned by Keith Clark, You Talk Too Much wired older rivals in Friday's $6,200 second race. After setting fractions of :28.2, :58.3 and 1:26.2, she extended her lead to three and three-quarter lengths and hit the wire in 1:55.2. You Talk Too Much lowered her own track record that she had set last time out in a division of the Jim Rogers Memorial on September 30 by three-fifths of a second.
You Talk Too Much was the even-money favourite and returned $4.10 to win. Cenalta Call Girl edged by pocket-sitter Joyful Sound in the stretch for the runner-up honours.
Clark shares ownership of the Well Said-Another Hanover filly with Robert Jones of Stony Plain, Alta. She was a $48,000 Harrisburg Sale yearling purchase, who now boasts three wins, four seconds and one third in eight career starts so far.
