A story which was run in the Toronto media this past weekend regarding horse racing has garnered a response from the New Democratic Party in the Ontario Legislature and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).
The report which appeared on the front page of the Toronto Star this past weekend claims that former Finance Minister Dwight Duncan abruptly cancelled the Slots at Racetracks Program in fear of the possibility of an 'ORNGE-style scandal.' The article can be read by clicking here.

The release states that OPSEU President Warren 'Smokey' Thomas has thrown his support behind a call for transparency in regard to the cancellation of the Slots at Racetracks Program and its fallout.
