Atlantic Breeders Crown champion Touch Of Lightning returned to the winner's circle following a dominant six and a half length romp in the Donnie & George Turner Memorial for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings on Sunday at Truro Raceway.

Touch Of Lightning and trainer-driver Earl Smith left from post five in one of the two $14,207 divisions and carved out fractions of :28.3, :59.2 and 1:28.2 en route to a 1:58 triumph, his third in a row. First Art Down (Gilles Barrieau) advanced first over to place and Island Lexus (Danny Romo) finished third.

With the win, the Articulator-Aquatic Lightning colt's career bankroll climbed past the $100,000 mark. He is now 10-for-18 this year. Touch Of Lightning is owned by Islanders Peter Smith, Donald Smith, Gerald Morrissey, and Larry Chappell.

The other division went to Mr Thompson and driver Mike Stevenson in 1:58.4. The Wade Sorrie-trained Articulator-Yankee Checkers gelding also front-stepped his way to victory lane with fractions of :28, :59.2, and 1:29.3. Dukes Up (Danny Romo) finished two and a half lengths behind in second and So Classy (Clare MacDonald) rounded out the top three finishers.

The career earner of more than $71,000 notched his fifth win of the season in 17 starts. He is owned by Boyd Macdonald Prodce Ltd. of Crapaud, P.E.I. and Daniel Ross of Belfast, P.E.I.
