The Tuesday, Oct. 28 program at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway consists of 15 dashes starting at 6 p.m. (ADT), including a featured Preferred in race eight and a late-classified clash in race 14.

The Preferred carries a $5,100 purse and it looks to be a showdown among some proven campaigners.

T H Boomtown, from post two, looms as the 5-2 morning line choice with Gilles Barrieau handling the lines for trainer Ron Matheson. The four-year-old gelded son of Captain Crunch-Ally Elizabeth has celebrated four wins during this campaign, including a 1:56.2 victory in his last start over a muddy track at Red Shores Charlottetown.

Handicapped with the outside post five, Brookdale Johnny is the 3-1 second choice with Paul Langille driving. Phil Sizer trains the five-year-old Rockin In Heaven-Brookdale Gia gelding, who won his last three races in the 1:55 range at Summerside and is looking to match his win count from last season when he won a total of 10 times.

Doc Awesome has the rail with David Dowling at the controls for trainer Darla MacEachern. The five-year-old gelded son of All Bets Off-Direct Macawesome has been a model of consistency with top three finishes in his last five starts, including a 1:55.3 Summerside victory in his latest when he circled the field.

Rounding out the field are American Risk, with Brady Sweet driving from post three for trainer George Rennison, and Sauble Attack, from the Paul Biggar barn with with Ken Murphy listed to drive from post four.

The "Backstretch Beat" selects T H Boomtown on top: “T H Boomtown is the class of this group on paper and looks poised to keep his winning momentum rolling. He’s been firing on all cylinders lately, showing both early gate speed and finishing power. With Barrieau back in the bike and a good post to work with, he’s clearly the one they’ll be aiming for when the wings fold.”

In the $3,750 sub-feature, Rose Run X Con is the 5-2 top choice for Murphy. Trained by Nicholas Oakes, the six-year-old gelded son of McArdle-Stirling Delilah was a winner in his last Summerside appearance on Sept. 23 with a front-end 1:56.2 score. His top foes include Howmac Maximus (Langille) and Howmac Exclusive (MacPherson).
