Stormont Shanlyboy and Windor delivered eye-catching performances to win their respective $100,000 Harvest Series Finals at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Super Final runner-up Stormont Shanlyboy turned heads with a sizzling 1:51.2 victory in the Harvest Series final for three-year-old male trotters.

Driven by Tyler Jones, Stormont Shanlyboy got away third and sat in that position until halfway around the far turn. Wolverine Legend (Trevor Henry) sprinted to the lead early and posted sharp fractions of :26.3, :55 and 1:23.1. Stormont Shanlyboy was at the leader’s wheel at the head of the lane and powered right by to score a commanding 6-3/4-length victory. Crunchintheodds (Jody Jamieson) rallied from fourth-over for second, while Stormont Fast Boy (Bob McClure) was third to give owner Stormont Meadows of Long Sault, Ont. two of the top three finishers.

A son of Muscle Mass-Lady Grenville, Stormont Shanlyboy now has six wins and 13 top-three finishes from 17 starts this season for trainer Kevin Benn. The Stormont Meadows homebred now has $253,920 in career earnings and is six-for-20 lifetime. A $2 win ticket on Stormont Shanlyboy returned $3.

Windor and driver Doug McNair pressed on early, got a two-hole ride behind the favourite and shot up the rail to win the Harvest Series final for sophomore pacing colts and geldings in a career-best 1:49.1.

A gelded son of Bulldog Hanover-Winx, Windor was one of several horses flashing early speed, ultimately sitting parked to the outside of early leader No Waitlist (Tyler Borth) through a :26.1 opener. Windor cleared entering the backstretch as 3-5 favourite Odds On Bullfrog (Travis Henry) was roaring up from behind, seizing command just before a :54 half.

Odds On Bullfrog kept on rolling through the far turn as No Waitlist was out to confront the leader at three-quarters in 1:21.4. In the stretch, Odds On Bullfrog put away No Waitlist, but he couldn’t hold off Windor and McNair from squeezing up the inside to win by a half-length. Scorpion Seelster (Jody Jamieson) was third.

Trained by Mike Vanderkemp, Windor collected his second win in 14 starts this season. The sophomore pacer competed regularly at the OSS Gold level throughout the campaign, finishing fifth in the Super Final. The Harvest Series victory gives Windor $342,549 in career earnings and a lifetime record of four-for-25 for owner-breeder Dianna Secord of Fergus, Ont. He paid $8.20 to win.

Between the two Harvest Series finals, Logan Park won his second straight $44,000 Open Trot in dominant fashion with McNair at the lines. The three-time O’Brien Award winner emerged first off the wings, then yielded temporarily to Hasty Bid (James MacDonald) before sweeping to command past a :28.1 opener. Logan Park glided powerfully through the half in :57.2 and three-quarters in 1:25.2, dispatching the first-up New Rules (Louis-Philippe Roy) before flying down the lane to score by two lengths in 1:52.1. Hasty Bid held second with Gaines Hanover (Jody Jamieson) advancing at the pylons for third.

Logan Park has nine Mohawk Open wins and a victory in the Grade 3 Earl Rowe Memorial Invitational Trot from 16 starts in 2026 and is now 54-for-118 lifetime with $2,561,965 in earnings. Kyle Fellows conditions the eight-year-old son of Archangel-Rite Outa The Park for Outofthepark Stable of Rockwood, Ont., Reg Higgs of Blenheim, Ont. and Arpad Szabo of Bradford, Ont. He paid $2.50 to win.

Revamped and boosted for 2026, the Harvest Series events for Ontario-sired or -bred three-year-olds feature two tiers. The top level for colts and geldings concluded on Sunday evening with the pair of six-figure finals. Ontario-sired or -bred sophomores that were non-winners of $150,000 in 2026 as of Sept. 30 were eligible, with a claiming tag of $100,000 as an also-eligible condition.

Harvest Series action continues on Monday evening with four finals, including a pair of $100,000 events for three-year-old fillies. A pair of $60,000 finals for two-year-old fillies will also be part of Monday’s 11-race card. Post time is 6:30 p.m.
