Cameron McQueen padded his Leamington Raceway lead atop the trainer standings with a triple on the penultimate Sunday card of the harness racing season on Oct. 26.
McQueen scored back-to-back wins in the third and fourth races with a pair of four-year-old claiming mare pacers. Fine N Dandy ($5.30), a recent newcomer to the McQueen stable, was a five-length winner in 1:57.4 followed by Grand Circuit ($2.70), who scored in 2:00.4. Eight-year-old claiming pacer Mickeymaksomespeed ($5.80) later romped to a 1:57.4 nine-length victory when making his debut from the McQueen barn in the eighth race.
McQueen's training triple put his meet win total at 17 while the London, Ont. horseman's overall seasonal count climbed to 74.
All three winners were driven by Garrett Rooney, who has also clinched a Leamington title with an insurmountable lead atop the driver standings with just one more card to go next Sunday afternoon.
