The Grand Circuit's weekly overview highlights its upcoming races at Hoosier Park and The Meadowlands.
This Week: Breeders Crown finals and The Pegasus, Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Anderson, Indiana; and Kindergarten Classic Series leg, The Meadowlands, East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Schedule of Events: Breeders Crown finals at Hoosier will take place on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28. The Friday card will feature the $700,000 finals for two-year-olds of both sexes and gaits. The Saturday program features the $672,000 three-year-old colt trot, $600,000 three-year-old filly trot, $600,000 three-year-old colt pace, $600,000 three-year-old filly pace, $600,000 open trot, $600,000 open pace, $400,000 open mare pace and $400,000 open mare trot.
Also on Friday, Hoosier will have $60,000 Pegasus events for three-year-old filly pacers and trotters and on Saturday, $60,000 Pegasus events for three-year-old colt pacers and trotters.
The Meadowlands will host a leg of the Kindergarten Series on Friday for two-year-olds of both sexes and gaits with each of seven races going for $20,000. There will be a single division in the filly pace and colt trot, two divisions in the filly trot and three divisions in the colt pace.

Last Time: Confederate continued his winning ways, racing from off the pace and soaring past rivals in the late stages to capture the first of three $25,000 Breeders Crown eliminations for three-year-old colt and gelding pacers at Harrah’s Hoosier Park on Saturday night. Driven by Tim Tetrick, Confederate posted a 1:49.4 mile in outsprinting a gutsy Stockade Seelster to the wire with Huntinthelastdolar third across the wire. To read the complete recap, click here.
Grand Circuit Standings: In 2023, the Grand Circuit leaders in three categories (driver, trainer and owner) will once again be tracked on a points system (20-10-5 for the top three finishers in divisions/finals and 10-5-2 for the top three finishers in eliminations/legs). Winbak Farms is the sponsor for the 2023 Grand Circuit awards.

Looking Ahead: Grand Circuit action will take place next week at Bally’s Dover, Harrah’s Hoosier Park and The Meadowlands. Dover will host the Matron Stakes for two-year-olds of both sexes and gaits while Hoosier will have four stakes for three-year-olds in the Carl Erskine for open trotters, the Monument Circle for male pacers, the Crossroads of America for filly trotters, and the USS Indianapolis for filly pacers. The Meadowlands will host the finals and consolations for the Kindergarten Series for two-year-olds of both sexes and gaits.
