A pair of visiting reinsmen from Sweden will join the Fraser Downs driving colony this week to compete at the Surrey, B.C. oval.
Swedish drivers Daniel Selin and Fredrik Fransson will have the opportunity to drive pacers during a pair of upcoming harness racing programs at Fraser Downs.
"We have a pretty exciting time this week with drivers visiting from Sweden and our race secretary, Darren Callaghan, has worked with the members here to get these harness horsemen from Sweden into the classes," Carla Robin, Executive Director of Harness Racing B.C., told Trot Insider. "They are the nephews of longtime retired horseman Sten Ericsson here at Fraser Downs."
Selin and Fransson have been listed to drive on Thursday night (October 27) in Races 1, 4, 7 and 8, and on Sunday afternoon (October 30) in Races 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11.
