The third leg of the Betty Millbank Breeders Stake was contested Friday evening at Fraser Downs, with two divisions – each worth $7,500 - on tap for two-year-old filly pacers.

There was no touching Jay Majic and trainer/driver Dave Hudon in the first division. The daughter of Youdontknowjack-Changeforthebest marched to the lead from Post 5 and threw down panels of :29.3, 1:00.1 and 1:30 before using a :30-second closing frame to win by three-quarters of a length over Shaleslittlespirit in 2:00. Jennys Big Book rallied to finish third.

It was a maiden-breaking win for the homebred, who upped her lifetime earnings to $17,486 for owner/breeder Bill Boden of Vancouver, British Columbia. She’s assembled a 1-1-1 record from her first five starts.

Run And Tell, who was sent off at odds of 1-9 in the second tilt, used the same game plan to capture her assignment for driver Kevin Anderson. The Debra Mc Carthy trainee shot to the front from Post 3 and whacked out fractions of :28, :59.2 and 1:28.3 before sealing the deal with a :30-second closing panel. She won by 3-1/2 lengths over Killemwithmyawsome in 1:58.3. Third prize was earned by Terrormissu.

Mark Anderson of Willows, California bred and owns the Power Of Art-Muddy Waters miss, who won for the fifth time in six starts. The lion’s share of the purse boosted her bankroll to $38,356.
