Grain Of Truth won for the tenth time in 2010 in Tuesday night’s $24,000 Open-1 Handicap Trot
at Pocono Downs. It was a wire-to-wire victory for the nine-year-old gelding, who was driven by Tom Jackson.
Ray Schnittker trains Grain Of Truth, who has won four of the last five outings in Open Handicap Trot company at the Northeastern Pennsylvania racetrack. Tuesday’s victory was recorded in an impressive time of 1:53.3. The trotter, who is 10-for-29 this season, is closing in on $200,000 in earnings for the year.
Baby Boy Grin finished three-quarters of a length back of Grain Of Truth, with Florida Mac Attack grabbing the third prize.
Pictures Of Millie, driven by George Napolitano Jr. and trained by James McGettigan, captured the Open II Trot Tuesday evening, taking the lead before the three-eighths pole. The three-year-old homebred trotter stopped the timer in 1:54.3, beating All About Justice and Too Salty.
