The winning streak is now two-in-a-row and counting for Ramas Last Son, who wired up the foes he faced in Thursday’s $11,500 Preferred 2 & 3 Handicap for trotters at Flamboro Downs.
Ramas Last Son rocketed right to the lead for driver Alfie Carroll, and the class jumping gelding threw down fractions of :28.4, :58.4 and 1:28.4 before sprinting home in :29.3 to win by a length over Nebraska Jack in 1:58.2. Rounding out the Trifecta ticket was Stonebridge Hall.
Trainer Russell Bax’s Baxmar Holsteins Ltd of Port Hope, Ont. owns the seven-year-old son of Majestic Son-Smokin Rama. It was the fifth win of the season – and the 20th to date – for the career winner of $277,823.
