Power Wheel claimed the lead at the head of the backstretch and was never pressed in winning the $25,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes – Green Acres Final for three-year-old trotting colts on Friday, October 25 at Freehold Raceway.

The son of Muscles Yankee trotted the mile in 2:00.1, finishing two lengths ahead of Fandango Tornado and four and a quarter lengths in front of the 3-5 favourite, Chocolate Delight.

Power Wheel was driven to victory by Steve Smith for trainer Gary Cameron II. It was the trotter’s third win of the year. He has finished in-the-money in five of 11 starts. Lifetime, he has four wins, two seconds and one third from 14 starts.

Owned and bred by John F. Swart Jr. and Sarah Swart of Oakton, VA, Power Wheel’s victory pushed his career bankroll over the $50,000 mark. This year he has earned $36,750.
