After starting the season 0-for-11, So Delightful stepped up her game and produced a 1:55 victory in the Friday evening feature at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The three-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight-You See L A was fired to the lead from Post 8 by driver Trevor Henry who led the field through fractions of :28.2, :58 and 1:26.3 over a track listed ‘good’ before storming home in :28.2 to produce the win. So Delightful held on to win by a neck over Major Battle in 1:55, with third prize earned by a lapped-on Off The Press.
Sent off as the 2-1 favourite in the $20,000 tilt, So Delightful notched the third win of her career for the Robert McIntosh Stables Inc, C S X Stables and Al McIntosh Holdings Inc. The homebred has banked close to $115,000 in her career.
