Nobles Grin delivered on his pari-mutuel promise with a dominant eight-length victory in the $18,000 Late Bloomer Series Final on Saturday night at Sudbury Downs.

Fish Semalu (David Dowling) showed the way to the first quarter in :28.2 and the half in :57.4 before Nobles Grin and trainer-driver Mike Noble moved underway from third and took over at three-quarters in 1:28.3. The three-year-old son of Grinfromeartoear-North Bay Lady then sprinted away from the field with a :30.1 final frame for the 1:58.4 triumph. Pocket-sitter Until Now (Jason Ryan) was the runner-up and Fish Semalu rounded out the top three.

Nobles Grin paid $4.10 to win. Mike Noble and Edward Gorc of Sudbury, Ont. share ownership of gelding, who finished a close second to Until Now in the opening leg of the series and captured his second leg division last week. Unraced at two, Nobles Grin has put together a record reading 6-4-2 in 15 outings and sports a bankroll of $33,910.
