The three-year-old Betterthancheddar-Astraean gelding is owned by High Stakes Inc. and Nancy MacNevin. In four career starts for his young career, Convoy Twenty Two has found the winner's circle twice with two seconds to complete the record. He has now banked $11,250 after setting a lifetime best in the mile. At 3-1 odds, he returned $8.20 to win.

Convoy Twenty Two finished second to Peloton Seelster in the first leg of the series.
