The 2022 edition of the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale is now complete. All told, 399 yearlings were sold Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22, grossing just over $9 million with an average of $22,633. That figure is an increase of 5.5 per cent over 2021 figures.
Topping the second session was pacing-bred yearling Mystical Oz Park. Consigned as agent by Victory Hill Farm Inc. Mystical Oz Park is a son of Tellitlikeitis out of Mystical Victress, making him a full brother to speedy stakes winner Mystical Carrie, p, 4, 1:48.3s -'21 ($489,228). Jeff Fought Racing of Astor, Fl. signed the sales slip for $168,000.
"The Hoosier Classic Sale Company LLC would like to thank all of the breeders, bidders and buyers that helped make the 2022 sale a success," said the company in a statement.
