Silver Shadow Wires Feature Field

Silverhill Shadow was put right on the point by driver Terry Gallant in Thursday’s feature at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park, and the duo paced away from the field to win the assignment in 1:58.3 over a sloppy track.

Owned by Silverhill of Tignish, PE, Silverhill Shadow rolled through fractions of :29, :59.3 and 1:30 before sprinting home in :28.3 to make it back-to-back victories. JRs Hurricane was second, with Perfect Escape third.

The trot divisions were won by Majian Magic (Jim Ripley) and Frill Seeker (Kenny Arsenault). It was Frill Seeker’s second consecutive score.

Lyndale Royal notched his 12th win of the season and his fifth in-a-row for Marc Campbell, who did the driving for owners Neal Moase and trainer Brent Campbell.

Sam, owned by the Foxyhall Stable of Summerside, PE, recorded her third victory in-a-row to double up Jason Hughes on the night. Hughes went on to win with Bunny Mach for a driving triple.

Ken Murphy had a driving double on the program taking the opener with Avid Yankee for owner Alison Ramsey, Winsloe, PE and wired the fourth race with Rymar Sporty from the Eric Doucette stable of South Rustico, PE.

Racing returns Saturday at 6 p.m. with the John “Buddy” Campbell Memorial Maritime Breeders Final presented by Meridian Farms. Red Shores Summerside will go with live racing Sunday at 1 p.m.
