Im Betting On You (Dan Dube) lived large on a lonely lead Friday night, winning Yonkers Raceway's co-featured $38,000 Filly and Mare Open Handicap Pace

Leaving from post position No. 5, Im Betting On You stepped around Little Mermaid N (Stephane Bouchard), making the lead before a :28.2 opening quarter-mile. She then rated a :58.2 intermission before Cuz She Can (George Brennan)--as the 13-10 favourite--moved from sixth.

Im Betting On You remained in control at the 1:26.4 three-quarters, widening to three lengths turning for home. She won by an unpressured 2-1/4 lengths in 1:54.4. Cuz She Can did get into second as Little Mermaid N bottomed out of the pocket. Jasperthat A (Cat Manzi), Style Semalu (Tyler Buter) and Ideal Newton (Jordan Stratton) completed the cashers.

For Im Betting On You, a five-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight owned by Alain Durivage and trained by Rick Bilach, she returned $8 (second choice) for her sixth win in 19 seasonal starts. The exacta paid $29.20, with the triple returning $159.

Friday night's co-featured Open Handicap Trot was won by T Js Mr Lavec (Jason Bartlett) in 1:56.4.

Leaving from post No. 6, he wound up in a three-hole behind 11-10 choice Donttellmywife (Brennan) and Shoeless White Sox (Jeff Gregory). After fractions of :28.4, :58.4 and 1:27.2, the outer flow was not an issue. T Js Mr. Lavec dove deep in the passing lane, getting past the favourite by a head. "White Sox," a first-over KLM Express (Jim Marshall II) and Dink Adoo (Brent Holland) came away with the small change.

For T Js Mr. Lavec, a six-year-old Mr Lavec gelding trained by Scott Blackler for co-owners Beverly and Gary Paganelli, Leon Schickman and Allen Kaplan, he returned $10.40 (second choice) for his fourth win in 16 '10 tries. The exacta paid $40.80, with the triple returning $156.50.
