Travis Henry piloted five winners on the Monday night, Oct. 21 night card at The Raceway at Western Fair District, winning all but one of the drives he was listed for as he was clipped at the wire in the sixth race appearance.
Henry kicked off with a natural hat trick in the first three races.
In race one, Henry and JD Beauty ($10.10), a student of Gerard Demers, won a $6,800 conditioned trot from post five in a 2-1/4-length triumph in 2:02.1.
In the second race, a $7,500 conditioned pace, John Pentland's Ima Doll ($3.90) won from gate-to-wire in 1:56.2 by 2-3/4 lengths.
Rounding off the third straight win for Henry was Spin For Life ($5.10), who overcame a miscue at the half to bounce back and romp by three lengths in 2:04.2. Francis Guillemette trains Spin For Life.
Henry returned to the winner's circle in race six, a $4,700 fillies and mares claiming pace, with Cameron McQueen's Blossom Onthebeach ($2.40). The pair won every pole en route to a two-length score in 1:58.4.
Completing the fifth victory of his six slated races was Twin B Showmance ($11), who won the top purse class for Henry, a $7,800 conditioned trot. Henry nabbed the victory with the Demers student by 1-1/4 lengths in 2:00.2.
