No Plan Intended made quick work of his opposition in last week’s feature event and will set his sights on a repeat on Saturday (Oct. 22) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The 12-dash program starts with a 12:30 P.M. opening post time, and the $3,500 preferred pace heads to the gate in Race 11. Jason Hughes will drive No Plan Intended from post five for the Jennifer Doyle stable with Doyle co-owning the winner of $254,000 with Danny Birt of Earnscliffe. The Up The Credit four-year-old had his biggest seasonal score in the $30,000 Governor’s Plate Final at Red Shores Summerside in July then was a runner-up to Sintra in the $100,000 Gold Cup and Saucer final. The 18-time winner is installed as the morning line favourite in the field.

Fern Hill General was second best to No Plan Intended last time out and has post three Saturday for driver Brodie MacPhee from the Tom Weatherbie outfit. The Malicious sophomore has banked more than $48,000 this season while taking a mark of 1:55 over Charlottetown. The 2021 Atlantic Breeders Crown champion Stash It Away leaves from post four in the field for driver Corey MacPherson. The Pang Shui pacer recently went over $105,000 in career earnings.

Ubettimagoodone (Gilles Barrieau) has rail control from the Jeff Lilley barn after finishing third in the $14,517 Atlantic Aged Pacing Mares final on Oct. 17. Navalny (Adam Merner) was a hard closing third in last week’s preferred and has post two Saturday.

The Post Time Picks see No Plan Intended as the heavy favourite.

“No Plan Intended zipped off the wings last week and fronted it all the way scoring in a snappy 1:54 flat. We’re betting Hughes will want to boss it from the hop and if that’s the case get ready to see them back in the winner’s circle.”

Race 10 on the card is In Memory Of Jerome Campbell with Acrobat Hanover (Marc Campbell) the top choice as 5-2 morning line odds from post three for trainer Lenny Myers, who co-owns with Matty and Liam Myers and Robin Lajeunesse. His top rivals are pegged as Selkirk Echo (Barrieau) off the rail and Sam McKee Hanover (MacPherson) from post six.
