Carmen Auciello pupil Physicallyinclined brushed to control heading to the half and advanced to a 1:50.4 victory in the $34,000 Preferred Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Driver Jonathan Drury positioned the six-year-old Mach Three stallion fourth as Nocturnal Blue Chip led Traceur Hanover to a :27 opening quarter. Drury soon edged off the rail, surged to the top and opened a two-length lead past a :55.3 half.
Nocturnal Blue Chip popped off the rail circling the final turn while Traceur Hanover slid through the inside in pursuit of Physicallyinclined. By three-quarters in 1:23.2, Physicallyinclined turned into the stretch and remained just over a length in front to the wire with Traceur Hanover taking second and Nocturnal Blue Chip stalling in third.
Owned by Robert Watson, Armando Cappuccitti, Mike Bartram and Auciello Stables, Physicallyinclined won his seventh race from 30 starts this season and his 17th from 64 overall, earning $449,910. He paid $4.70 to win.
