As the 2026 harness racing season hits the three-quarter mark, Trot Insider takes a look at some of the top performing Standardbreds in Canada in terms of wins, earnings and speed.

Four-year-old pacing mare Lady Cafe Au Lait and sophomore pacing colt Captain Tate are the win leaders, each with 15 victories in Canada to date.

Lady Cafe Au Lait, a Big Jim-Lady Latte mare acquired in February by Prince Edward Island owners Windemere Farms of Springvale and Matt & David Burke of Stratford, has won 15 straight races in Canada. She won a pair of races at Woodbine Mohawk Park for trainer Bo Ford before heading to P.E.I., where she extended her win streak into the double-digits while dominating the top mares in the province and setting a 1:52.1 divisional track record at Charlottetown Driving Park for trainer Earl Watts. Lady Cafe Au Lait is 17-for-20 overall this year, with two prior wins stateside, and is tied for second-most wins in all of North America.

Captain Tate, a son of Captain Crunch out of Ginger Tree Nina, has earned the majority of his 15 wins at Inverness Raceway while defeating older rivals in the top class multiple times for trainer Walter Walker and owner James MacInnis of Halifax, N.S. His 15-for-20 season includes a stretch of eight straight victories throughout the summer, with a career-best 1:54.2 among a pair of his wins at Charlottetown Driving Park. After a victory at Truro Raceway last week, he will be back his home track in Inverness on Sunday looking for more.

Nine-year-old pacing gelding Mappos Lion rounds out the top three with 14 wins against Maritime competition, and is followed by pacers No Plan Intended, Livin Large and Tellit Russ Tellit, each with 13 wins. Lets N Joy N and Best Girl In Town have both won a dozen races. Sophomore filly Look A Diamond is the winningest trotter and among six horses with 11 wins in Canadian this year.

The Melanie Wrenn-trained North America Cup champion Odds On Mr Mamba leads all horses for earnings so far this year having amassed $525,000 from his two Canadian starts in the $50,000 elimination and million-dollar final of Woodbine Mohawk Park's marquee glamour boy event in June. The three-year-old Odds On Equuleus-Honky Tonk Woman gelding is owned by Odds On Racing of Boca Raton, Florida.

Two-year-old colts Eastie Boy ($520,000) and Right Sounds Wrong ($500,000), another pair of Grade 1 million-dollar Mohawk stakes winners, round out the top three for earnings after victories in last weekend's Metro Pace and Mohawk Million.

Best Chip and Redland Rocket Man share the national seasons record after pacing jaw-dropping 1:46.4 miles in September.

A four-year-old Heston Blue Chip-Place Your Bet stallion trained by Joe Bongiorno, Best Chip won the Grade 1 Canadian Pacing Derby in the stakes record-equalling time at Mohawk on Sept. 5 for owner El Dorado Stables of Ft. Myers, Florida.

Redland Rocket Man, a son of Bulldog Hanover out of Granny Hanover, set a sophomore Canadian record and world record for three-year-old pacing geldings with his speedy Grade 3 Simcoe Stakes score at Mohawk on Sept. 12 for trainer John Pentland and co-owners Murray Cox of Rockwood, Ont., and Gary Volpe of St. Thomas, Ont.

Redland Rocket Man is also Canada's fastest pacer on a five-eighths-mile track all time after winning in an Ontario Sires Stakes Gold division in 1:48.2 on Aug. 3 at Grand River Raceway.

The season's fastest pacer on a half-mile track is also the all-time Canadian record holder as Bruno No No blazed to a 1:48.2 triumph over Flamboro Downs in the Charles Juravinski Memorial Cup elimination round on May 10 for trainer David Menary.

The fastest trotter in Canada so far in 2026 is the Marcus Melander-trained four-year-old Super Chapter, courtesy of his 1:49.3 victory in the Grade 1 Maple Leaf Trot on Sept. 5 at Mohawk. The son of Chapter Seven-Lifetime Pursuit is owned by Jeffrey Snyder of New York City, New York, Arthur Pronti of Jersey City, New Jersey and Hanover Shoe Farms of Hanover, Pennsylvania. His time stands as a Canadian record for aged trotting stallions.

Trained by Kyle Fellows, three-time reigning Older Male Trotter of the Year Logan Park currently holds the national season's trotting record for a five-eighths-mile track in Canada after winning the Grade 3 Earl Rowe Memorial Invitational Trot in 1:51.4 -- also a Canadian record for geldings -- on Aug. 15 at Georgian Downs.

The fastest trotting winner on a half-mile track this year is eight-year-old gelding Flemsteen, who was a 1:54.2 winner in an Open at Charlottetown Driving Park on June 11 for the Jennifer Doyle stable. The time of the mile also stands as the all-age trotting track record.
