Win Missy B Back On Track

Win Missy B, a winner of more than $1.5 million in purses who struggled for most of 2013, took another large step forward Wednesday at The Meadows when she destroyed a fine field in the $18,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot.

Win Missy B won 16 of her first 33 races, most against top divisional competition, but faltered this year at four. The daughter of Conway Hall-Winning Missbrenda managed only five starts through mid-August and finished out of the money in each.

She took a conditioned trot last week and was just as sharp Wednesday, quarter-poling to the front for Dick Stillings and scoring in a swift 1:53.4. Early leader Chilitodayhotamale was second, four lengths back, while Trotslikethewind rallied for show.

Rich Gillock trains Win Missy B for owner/breeder Bob Key.

Dave Palone drove four winners and Aaron Merriman three on the 15-race card.
