With the recent announcement of more delays in Baymount Incorporated’s plans for Quinte Raceway and Slots in Belleville, Ont., the president of Belleville’s Agricultural Society is left asking “What do we do?”
The Belleville Intelligencer has reported that Baymount’s closing date for final approval by stakeholders of its financing deal with Plaza Entertainment and Gaming Corporation has been extended from September 30 to November 15.
“That’s disappointing as hell because it just delays another building season,” Doug Rollins told the Belleville Intelligencer.
“I don’t think the public has any confidence [in Baymount] and I don’t have a whole hell of a lot with them anymore. It isn’t funny anymore but it’s one of those things where we have to ask ‘What do we do?’.”
