So Frisky powered home to win the $11,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace on Thursday (Oct. 19) at Flamboro Downs.

Colin Kelly and the Anita Ouellette trainee got away third in the field of six as pacesetting favourite Exotic Dragon (Travis Cullen) clicked out the first panel in :27. Kelly pulled his line to send So Frisky first over en route to the :56.2 half. The pair settled into the pocket on the way to the three-quarters in 1:24.1. In the final turn, So Frisky made a challenge against the leading Exotic Dragon again and they were wheel-to-wheel going into the lane. In the stretch, So Frisky gained the upper hand and crossed the wire one length in front in 1:54. Exotic Dragon had to settle for second and Ahoy (Brett MacDonald) was third.

Luc Ouellette Incorporated owns the seven-year-old Dali mare as she earned her eighth seasonal victory and 37th career tally. She is just $3,067 shy of a $300,000 career milestone with $296,933 pocketed. So Frisky paid $11.20 to win from 5-1 odds.
