It has been announced that Pasithea Face has been scratched from the $250,000 Breeders Crown Mare Trot.
Pasithea Face’s owner, Courant Inc., made the announcement via social media this morning (Thursday, October 19).
In the announcement, Courant Inc. stated that the five-year-old Muscle Hill mare sustained an injury, will miss the Breeders Crown, and will most likely be retired and bred in the 2018 season.
The bay made a total of eight starts on North American soil since having shipped over from Sweden earlier this year. She won three of those starts, the most high profile being a 1:53 track record performance in the $167,000 Dayton Trotting Derby at Dayton Raceway on September 29. She also recorded an ultra-impressive 1:50.4 triumph in a division of the Miss Versatility Series on August 20 at Tioga Downs.
The scratch of Pasithea Face now reduces the field for the $250,000 Breeders Crown Mare Trot down to four (Caprice Hill, Emoticon Hanover, Flowers N Songs, Pink Pistol).
