Talented pacing filly Alibi Seelster fetched the highest price at Sunday's 2014 Fall Extravaganza Mixed Sale.
Alibi Seelster, a seven-time winner with more than $224,000 in purses earned, was sold by trainer/owner Jack Darling to Doug Brown, acting as agent, for $60,000.
Cooler temperatures didn't dissuade potential buyers from packing the SC Sales Pavilion at Flamboro Downs. A total of 119 broodmares, racehorses, weanlings and yearlings brought a $1,143,000 gross, providing an overall average of $9,605.
