Trainer John Chappell kicked off his Tuesday evening with a win at Fraser Downs, and things finished up pretty well for the talented horseman, considering he swept the final two dashes on the 10-race card.
Chappell got the ball rolling with a front-stepping score in Race 2 with Shes A Vixen. He guided the filly to the three-length triumph in 1:58.4.
Chappell then finished with a bang thanks to his wins in Races 9 and 10 behind Alley Scat and Western Vixen.
Alley Scat chopped out fractions of :29, :59 and 1:27.3 before slipping home in :29.2 for the one-length score in 1:57. He used the same tactical approach to capturing Race 10 with Western Vixen. He hustled her through fractions of :28.3, :59 and 1:28 before cruising home in :31.1. She stopped the teletimer in 1:59.1.
Chappell has now harnessed 620 winners while racking up close to $3.4 million in lifetime earnings.
