Charisma Hanover, Pennsylvania’s three-year-old filly champion, captured Friday’s $18,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Pace at The Meadows, but she had to survive an inquiry to secure the victory.

On top as they turned for home, Charisma Hanover bore out to the center of the track, where Do Me Honor was rallying. Following a review, the judges found no interference and certified the win in 1:52.3. The winner’s stablemate, Darena Hanover, finished second, half a length back, while Do Me Honor was third.

Dave Palone drove the daughter of Dragon Again-Caught The Bouquet, who pushed her career bankroll to $416,979, for trainer Ron Burke and owners Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Palone drove four winners — three for Burke — on the 15-race card, and Eric Ledford also enjoyed a triple.
