Nine-year-old Cambest mare Abby Best has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favourite for the $14,993 final of the Erwin Andrew Memorial Series, which will take place Wednesday, October 20 at Summerside Raceway.

The series, sponsored by Standardbred Canada, Meridian Farms and Summerside, is for aged pacing mares which are Canadian sired and/or 100 per cent Canadian owned.

Abby Best, who has drawn the rail for the eight-horse tilt, will be steered by Kenny Arsenault for trainer Angus Hall.

The career winner of 51 of 127 career starts has been solid again this season, as she has compiled an 11-6-3 record and $20,346 in purses from 27 starts. She will be carrying a two-race win streak heading into the final, as she captured a leg of the series September 30 at the Charlottetown Driving Park and followed that up with a wire-to-wire score October 10 at Truro Raceway.

Five-year-old Cammibest mare Slim N Sleek (PP5, M. Downey, 3-1) has been pegged as the second choice in the early odds, while six-year-old Dexter Nukes mare Grace And Harv (PP8, G. Barrieau, 7-2) has been installed as the third choice on the morning line.

The 15-race program will get underway with a 6:00 p.m. first-race post time.

The Erwin Andrew has been carded as Race 14.
