The second leg of $20,000 eliminations for two-year-old Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) trotters was contested Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.

Three divisions of colts were held while there were two for fillies.

Art Stafford and Art Stafford, Jr.’s Royal Briefing (Art Stafford, Jr.) took the first of two non-wagering events as a 2:03.3 winner in a division for colt trotters. The Political Briefing gelding notched his second straight win with DSBF company.

Meanwhile Pam Wagner’s JA Going Alltheway (Victor Kirby) won the initial filly division in 2:03.1. A daughter of CR Commando, she also completed a sweep of her DSBF elims.

Nanticoke Racing, Delbert and Michael Cain’s Cashmere Briefs ($4, Vince Copeland) was victorious in the second division for trotting colts in 2:05.3. Trained by Les Givens, the Political Briefing colt led every call in his open length win.

In the second division for fillies, Serendipity Stable’s Sugartime ($13.60, Tony Morgan) sprung an upset over heavily favoured Country Romance in 2:04.4. Trained by Tui Stone, Sugartime, a daughter of Giant Hit, led throughout as Country Romance’s first-over bid fell short, though did hold second.

In the final colt division, Nanticoke Racing and Jim Morand’s Solo Command (2:03.2, Morand) scored a decisive 2:03.2 win for trainer Les Givens.
