Gagnon Grabs Five At Rideau

Driver Guy Gagnon was without a doubt Rideau Carleton Raceway’s star of the card Friday night as he garnered wins in one third of the program’s races

.

Gagnon teamed with the Gerard Demers pupils Armbro Acme (2:02) and Manthas Friend (1:56.1) to score his first two of five wins on the 15-race card in Races 2 and 6 respectively. The hot-handed reinsman was right back in the winner’s circle in the following race with Warrawee Jade (2:01.1) for trainer Juli Malenfont.

Gagnon later scored back-to-back victories starting in the 11th race with his own five-year-old pacing mare Bio Link (1:59.2) and Classic Discrete (2:02.2) for trainer Carl Duguay.

The resident of Gatineau, Que. improved his seasonal win tally to 185 with his Friday five bagger. The winner of 3,292 races lifetime is in the midst of his ninth consecutive million-dollar season. He has earned over $14.6 million in purses lifetime.
