Team Allard Triples In Summit Series

Brothers Simon and Rene Allard teamed up to win half of the six $5,200 third leg divisions of the Barrie Ford Summit Series for $6,000 claiming trotters on Saturday night at Georgian Downs

The third leg was contested over a 'good' track rated a couple seconds slow and the Allards earned their first win of the night with seven-year-old Wonder Worker One mare E L Miss Pom, a wire-to-wire winner in 2:01.3. Four-year-old Andover Hall gelding Aaron Andover also front-stepped his way to a 2:01.3 triumph. He was claimed for $7,500 by James Ruhl. Eight-year-old S Js Photo gelding Instant Photo romped to a four length victory in 2:00.3 ending Spurofthehauer's two-race undefeated streak in the series. He was also claimed, for $6,000 by Shirley Halas.

The other third leg winners included: Madhur Hanover and Robert Shepherd in 2:02.3; Coup Sur and Robert Fenech in 2:03; and Nineanddivine and Paul MacKenzie in 2:02.3
