To say Travis Cullen had a solid Monday at Alberta Downs would be a gross understatement – it was a downright awesome day at the office.
Cullen kicked off the card with a 1:57.1 victory behind Sing Like An Angel – a horse from his own stable – and he tacked on four more wins to make it a five-win day at the track.
He returned to the winner’s circle in Race 3 with Artxzipit (1:58.1) and then rattled off three consecutive wins starting in Race 8 with Glitteronthebeach (1:55.3). Racing Fingers (1:54.3) and Frisco (1:56.1) capped off what was a banner day at Alberta Downs.
The Edmonton, Alberta horseman has set personal records as a trainer this season by virtue of 86 wins and purse earnings in excess of $280,000. To date, his barn has produced 154 winners while potting more than $414,000 in purse earnings.
