Two new track records for trotters were set on Wednesday’s program at Harrington Raceway
.
Jim Morand and Nanticoke Racing’s Nice Dream (Morand) set a new mark for three-year-old trotting geldings with a 1:57.3 victory. The Les Givens-trainee has now won 12 of 28 career starts.
Meanwhile, Carol and Jim Atkinson’s Impel Hanover (Roger Plante, Jr.) made his Harrington debut a winning one and in strong fashion, breaking the mark for four-year-old trotting horses with a 1:57.2 triumph. Trained by Jim Atkinson, it was his fourth win of the season.
In the featured $21,700 Junior Open Trot, Victor Kirby and Matthew Ivory’s Allmar Surprise earned her second straight win, in 1:56.
