Ram Racing Stable’s Wonderous Hanover broke the two-year-old filly trotting track record Thursday at Harrington Raceway with a 2:01 victory

.

The Conway Hall-Wonder Of It All filly and driver Sean Bier set a hot pace after assuming command approaching the quarter mile in :29.3. Wonderous Hanover sped to the half mile in :58.3 and three-quarters in 1:28.2. The even-money favourite led by double-digit lengths at the top of the stretch and shattered the track record by nearly two seconds.

The old mark was co-held by Westgate Alexis in 2005, Tonis Wink in 2008 and Alleigh Girl in 2011, who each won in 2:02.4.

The win was the first in five career starts for Wonderous Hanover, who is trained by Crissy Crissman-Bier.

Drivers Roger Plante and Montrell Teague each had three winners on the program. Harrington’s leading trainer, George Teague conditioned three winners.
