Allards Dominate Rideau Card

It was raining wins Thursday evening at Rideau Carleton Raceway for the Allard brothers, with trainer Rene Allard sending out five winners and Simon Allard bagging a six-win performance.

Simon got into the win column first thanks to a catch-driving score behind the Luc Blais-trained Done Fooln Witcha (1:56.1) in Race 3.

He enjoyed the rest of his trips to victory lane behind horses trained by his brother, Rene. The took Race 5 with Noartographsplease (1:55.3), Race 8 with Silverado Dream (1:56.4), Race 9 with GD Airliner (1:53.4), Race 13 with Toy Delight (1:58.1) and Race 15 with Time To Rocknroll (1:57.1).

Simon is in the midst of his fourth consecutive season with purse earnings in excess of $2 million. The career winner of 1,767 races has racked up more than $13.6 million in purse earnings to date.

It’s also the fourth straight season that trainer Rene Allard has banked more than $2 million in purse earnings. He’s also racked up 307 wins this year – a total that gives him a chance to go after his personal best for a single season (345 wins in 2011). He’s produced 1,562 winners in his career while banking in excess of $12 million in purse earnings.
