Governor Ted Strickland has named his seven-person Ohio Gaming Control Board. Each member will receive $60,000 for their part-time jobs of introducing rules and regulations and overseeing track racinos and casinos
.
All face confirmation by the state senate and the results of next month’s gubernatorial election.
The seven individuals are listed below.
- (Chairman) Charles Saxbe (a Columbus attorney and member of a distinguished legal family which includes a former U.S. Attorney General)
- William Kirkham (an attorney)
- Michael Bolte (former Cincinnati police captain)
- Greta Russell (Ohio State University controller)
- Vanessa Whiting (an attorney)
- Jerry Chabler (former racing commissioner)
- Joseph Rugola (executive director of Ohio’s Assn. of Public School Employees)
