Hidden Hall went to the front and didn’t look back en route to a 2:00.1 score for driver Tyler Moore in Thursday’s $36,900 Harvest Stake Final at Sudbury Downs.

The Rene Allard-trained Hidden Hall shot to the top from Post 3 for Moore and proceeded to slice out splits of :29.2, :59.1 and 1:29.4 before using a :30.2 closing panel to win by three-quarters of a length over Justa Regular Joe. Third prize went to Twilight Jack.

Sent off as the 7-5 favourite in the nine-horse affair, Hidden Hall improved this year’s record to 17-3-3 from 33 trips behind the starting gate. The four-year-old son of Modern Art, who was claimed for $6,000 one week ago by Rene Allard of Saint-Esprit, QC, has banked $98,120 to date.
