Pacers sired by Shanghai Phil are the ones to beat next weekend in the two-year-old finals of the Serie Quebecoise de Retour for Quebec-breds

at Hippodrome de Quebec.

Both pacing semi-finals today at the Quebec City track were dominated by his offspring.
In the $5,000 event for pacing fillies, Izzabee and driver Marcel Barrieau held off Beijing in 2:01.1, with Princess Dorleans a close third. All three fillies were sired by Shanghai Phil.

In the $5,000 event for males, Shanghai Phil gelding Winning Dream cruised to a seven-length score in 2:00.1 for driver Sylvain Lacaille. Winning Dream is owned by Ecurie Reve Avec Moi, which also had the winner of the $5,000 event for trotters, Nuriev Dream. A 6-1 chance, the Taurus Dream filly bested colts in 2:03.3. Favourite Centrifical Force made a break and wound up seventh.

The $20,000 finals take place during next Sunday's card of harness racing at Hippodrome de Quebec.
