The popular Perhaps Today (Allan Hohner) finished two lengths behind off a pocket trip and Sharkey Oshea (Justin Turcotte) finished third. The four-year-old Cambest-Lady Bird mare, sent postward as the 6-1 fourth choice, is trained by James Belanger for Shanel Belanger of Azilda, Ont. The win was her second in 12 starts.

Mike MacNeill drove the four-year-old gelded son of Bettors Delight-Sand Slicorice to his second win in 11 starts for trainer Philippe Belanger and owner James Fraleigh of Dresden, Ont. Zip By (David Dowling) and Fuzzy Cupid (Justin Turcotte) rounded out the top three. Race favourite Cinema Classic (Mario Rivest) broke stride early on and pulled up.

Another Cowgirl was a gate-to-wire winner in the last division for driver Mike Nobel, trainer George Jarrell and owner Mary Deluca of Sault Ste Marie, Ont.
