Favourite Giddy Up Lucky (Eric Goodell) made it five victories in a row Saturday night, winning Yonkers Raceway's $42,500 Open Handicap Pace.

Overcoming an assigned eight-hole with a second-over trip, Giddy Up Lucky rolled past pace-setting Pangiorno (Jason Bartlett, five winners on the 13-race card). He then held a charging Atochia (Brent Holland) at bay, winning by three-quarters of a length in 1:52.1. Pangiorno, Aliveandwell N (Ryan Anderson) and Lahaye (Stephane Bouchard) completed the payees.

For Giddy Up Lucky, a five-year-old Camluck gelding trained by Josh Green for co-owners David Rovine and Baron Racing, he returned $4.50 for his eighth win in 26 seasonal starts. The exacta paid $38.60, with the triple returning $111.
