Illinois Horseman Running For Sheriff

U.S. Trotting Association member Larry B. Skinner has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Sheriff of Douglas County in Illinois

“I am running for the office of Douglas County Sheriff to bring change, integrity and budgetary experience to the Sheriff’s Department,” Skinner told the Journal Gazette-Times Courier.

“As sheriff I will bring over 40 years of business management and administrative experience, over 40 years of employee supervisory experience and over 30 years of police experience. I am the only candidate who has ran a successful business that requires creating, managing and monitoring budgets.”

Skinner and his family raise and race standardbred horses in the state of Illinois. The Newman resident is also an active member of the FFA Alumni, Tuscola Rotary and Sons of the American Legion.
