The fourth National Caretaker Appreciation Day was very well received at 10 racetracks, multiple stables and farms across the country during the week of Sept 20-26.
Standardbred Canada greatly appreciates the support of the racetracks, associations, industry participants, sponsors, prize donors and volunteers. This event wouldn't have been a success without your contributions!

For The Love of the Horse Contest Winner
Standardbred Canada would like to congratulate caretaker Tyler Wade, of Rockwood, Ont., the winner of the ‘For The Love Of The Horse’ photo contest!
The photo was submitted by Stephany Wade on behalf of Tyler, featuring Tyler with 13-year-old gelding Slip Into Glide and dog Shuter.
“Slip Into Glide is a real sweetheart, he is great to work with, and even though he only has one eye, he tries harder than any other horse I know. My dog Shuter only has one eye as well, so that is why I liked him so much, he has such a big heart,” explained Stephany.
