Trainer Sue Gangell enjoyed a banner day on Thursday afternoon thanks to a three-win performance at
Flamboro Downs.
Gangell, who sent out four horses on the 11-race card, got the ball rolling with Jackpot Mindale in the third race. The four-year-old daughter of No Pan Intended drew off to win by more than five lengths in a time of 1:57.2 for driver J.R. Plante, who had four wins on the card.
Good Goin Yankee got the job done for Gangell and driver Paul MacKenzie in the seventh race. The six-year-old son of Precious Bunny powered to a four-length score in 1:58.3. Plante and Gangell teamed up to take the tenth race with Bet Your Booty, who triumphed by a length in 1:57.2.
The Simcoe, ON conditioner has sent out 60 winners so far this season while banking in excess of $523,000. For the third consecutive season she has managed to keep her UTR well over the .300 mark. It currently stands at .326 after going .358 in 2008 and .386 in 2007.
