A total of 13 teams took part in the first week of the Hanover Raceway Winter Handicapping challenge. Teams of two or three players are invited to attend on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. until the end of February.
There are prizes for the week’s top team and for the top overall team after the eight-week contest.
The handicappers showed their skill Thursday night as four teams earned close to the 50-dollar mark by selecting horses in 10 races and earning points based on what those horses paid for finishing first or second in their races.
‘Team Geisel’ lead the field with a total of 53.20
The Week 1 final standings appear below.
The contest is open to more teams. For more information, contact Gord Dougan at Hanover Raceway at 519-364-2860 (Ext. 2).
