Moments Of Joy took her five foes from coast to coast for a 1:53 score in Wednesday's (Jan. 8) featured $25,000 Mares Open Pace at Dover Downs.
Driver Victor Kirby sent Moments Of Joy quickly to the front and seated Delishka N (Allan Davis) in the pocket through a :27.3 first quarter. After reaching the half in :56.1, Moments Of Joy faced a first-over push from Valuable Art (Russell Foster), who advanced into a strong headwind up the backstretch while stalked by 3-5 favourite Bettor Joy N (Tim Tetrick).
Moments Of Joy dug in under pressure to turn Valuable Art aside past three-quarters in 1:25.1 and hold off a three-wide stretch charge from Bettor Joy N to win by a head in 1:53. Delishka N finished third.
Moments Of Joy, who is owned and trained by Bryan Truitt, captured her second consecutive top-level win at Dover.
